With the transfers of Ibrahimovic and Mane done and dusted we look ahead at some deals that could see new foreign talents show off their skills in the English Premier League:
Marc Andre Ter Stegen (Goalkeeper): Barcelona to Manchester City
Transfer fee: £25 million
Pep Guardiola is on the look out for another keeper to rival Joe Hart in net after the latter's poor performance at the Euros. Ter Stegen spent the majority of last season on the bench for Barcelona behind Bravo however it is reported that the 24 year old may gain the starting spot this coming season meaning Manchester City may have to look elsewhere. Furthermore a £68 million release clause suggests Barcelona will not depart company easily with the keeper who possesses bags of potential.
Likelihood: 2/5
Value for money: 2/5
Leonardo Bonucci (Central Defender): Juventus to Chelsea, Manchester City
Transfer fee: £30 million
Bonucci endured a fantastic Euros campaign for Italy alongside fellow Juventus team mates Buffon, Chiellini and Barzagli. Italy conceded just twice all tournament thanks to Bonucci's no nonsense defending, as a result many are inquiring about his services. The 29 year old has been at Juventus since 2010, his age and club loyalty alike may mean clubs are less interested in signing the Italian since he would be more expensive to pry. All the same Chelsea and Manchester City are desperate for a quality central defender to tighten up sloppy defences and sign the man who saw opposition mark only 20 times against Juventus last season.
Likelihood: 3/5
Value for money: 2/5
Kalidou Koulibaly (Central Defender): Napoli to Chelsea, Everton
Transfer fee: £30 million
At 26 years of age Koulibaly would be a much more reasonable purchase than Bonucci since he has not yet peaked. Whilst Bonucci is much more proven on the big stage Koulibaly is a very promising defender who can play right back as well as in the middle and as a result saw Napoli to a second placed finish. The Frenchman would slot into the Chelsea squad alongside Cahil and perhaps Zouma, depending on whether Conte opts for a 3 at the back formation. Koulibaly may be a direct replacement for John Stones if the English prospect does indeed move to Manchester City. 11 yellow cards last season indicates that the Napoli man's discipline may be a problem.
Likelihood: 2/5
Value for money: 1/5
Adil Rami (Central Defender): Sevilla FC to Leicester
Transfer fee: £10 million
Rami sneaked his way into the France Euros team after injuries to Mathieu, Varane and Zouma. The Sevilla player endured a decent campaign for the home nations however was ultimately dropped for Samuel Umtiti for the Euros final. Whether Rami would displace Huth or Morgan, the rocks in Leicester's title campaign, remains to be seen, however he would add further squad depth alongside the likes of Hernandez Rodriguez.
Likelihood: 1/5
Value for money: 4/5
Jakub Blaszczykowski (Winger): Borussia Dortmund to Liverpool FC
Transfer fee: £6 million
The former Polish captain netted twice in Poland's Euros campaign and showed off his clinical finishing and neat passing to gain his former manager, Klopp's attention. The 30 year old spent a season on loan at Florentina since the wingers of Mkhitaryan and Reus gave him no chance of starting. However now that the former has left to Manchester United Dortmund may feel more inclined to keep the winger. On the other hand Liverpool will be in search of a winger after Jordan Ibe recently left to Bournemouth for £15 million.
Likelihood: 1/5
Value for money: 4/5
Radja Nainggolan (Central Midfielder): Roma to Chelsea
Transfer fee: £30 million
With 2 goals at the Euros, both fierce long shots, Nainggolan became Belgium's top scorer of the tournament in what was an otherwise disappointing campaign. The Roma midfielder has been linked with a move to the English Premier League for some time given his reputation as a complete midfielder. The 28 year old scored 6 times last season in addition to a 85% pass accuracy to showcase his range of abilities which would make him an ideal midfielder alongside Matic and Fabregas.
Likelihood: 1/5
Value for money: 4/5
Paul Pogba (Central Midfielder): Juventus to Manchester United
Transfer fee: £100 million
Will he? Won't he? Days go by where the deal is close to completion, others where Pogba is certain to stay at Juventus. Whatever the outcome Pogba is undoubtedly a world class talent and it's no surprise that Mourinho wants him at his disposal, whether he is worth £100 million is a different question. Pogba is a capbale midfielder in every department, heading, shooting passing you name it. If he was to sign he would certainly be the first name of the team sheet.
Likelihood: 4/5
Value for money: 3/5
Cristian Tello (Winger): Barcelona to Liverpool FC, Swansea City, Tottenham Hotspur
Transfer fee: £19 million
The 24 year old winger has failed to get a look in at Barcelona having spent spells on loan at Porto and Florentina. Barcelona are looking to offload Tello and reportedly Tottenham is his most likely destination yet Swansea and Liverpool are also interested in the pacey winger. He would fir well into the Tottenham set up, with Lamela on one wing, Tello the other and Eriksen through the centre. Tello brings goals to a team, something Tottenham were overly dependent on Kane for last season.
Likelihood: 4/5
Value for money: 4/5
Mario Gotze (Central Attacking Midfielder): Bayern Munich to Liverpool FC, Tottenham Hotspur
Transfer fee: £ 20 million
Gotze had a poor Euros since he could not operate as a German striker since he is best suited as a CAM. It seems odd that Liverpool are on the look out for another CAM with Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana in their ranks. Similarly Tottenham have Eriksen in their ranks. Gotze has struggled for game time at Bayern Munich thanks to their superstar squad and as a result has been placed on the transfer list.
Likelihood: 2/5
Value for money: 3/5
Gonzalo Higuain (Striker): Napoli to Arsenal, Chelsea
Transfer fee: £35 million
Arsenal are desperately in the need for a class striker and with 36 goals in 35 appearances Higuain is undeniably the perfect fit. The gunners would be in serious contention for the title with the Argentine up top with Ozil, Sanchez and Ramsey just behind as they would be sure to rack up goal after goal. It depends on whether Wenger continues to rely on Giroud who had a mixed tournament at the Euros, or whether he opts to splash the cash.
Likelihood: 2/5
Value for money: 3/5
Alexandre Lacazette (Striker): Lyon to Arsenal
Transfer fee: £42 million
Lacazette has constantly been linked with a move away from Lyon having scored 21 goals to propel the French team to 2nd in Ligue 1. Lacazette would bring pace to the Arsenal line up, something Higuain can't offer in as much abundance. Furthermore the 25 year old is more than capable in the air and running in behind.
Likelihood: 2/5
Value for money: 4/5
